To actively promote the culture and positive image of Trinidad & Tobago in the United States of America. To develop and implement positive programs for the advancement of the professional, cultural, educational, and socio-economic objectives of member organizations and the encompassing communities.

Community Initiatives

  • Provides financial scholarship awards annually to college-enrolled students.
  • Provides emergency donations, material donations, and technical assistance to individuals and entities in the United States of America and Trinidad and Tobago. 
  • Provides United States citizenship application assistance. Conducts, through a constituent group, health education/health fairs. Conducts, through a constituent group, voter registration campaigns.
  • Promotes an annual Ecumenical Church Service to commemorate the Independence Anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Supports the promotion of the annual function in New York celebrating the independence of Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Liaisons with the Trinidad and Tobago Consulate in New York on matters beneficial to Trinidad and Tobago nationals.
  • Pioneered the Heal-a-Heart Program (currently under the auspices of another organization) where children from Trinidad and Tobago are brought to the United States for heart-related medical attention.
  • Promotes social functions for the cultural involvement and enrichment of Trinidad and Tobago nationals in New York.
  • Recognizes nationals, and others, in the United States of America for their significant community contributions.

Renew a Trinidad & Tobago passport in Trinidad & Tobago: must show a “Certificate of Birth” or electronic Birth Certificate. If living in the United States: show a valid Green Card or valid US passport and (a certificate of Naturalization with colorized copy) All other copies requested are taken in black & white. All this is done in Port of Spain, San Fernando, Sangre Grande, and Scarborough, Tobago
